Splashball
Splashball is an introduction to the game of water polo. Our objective is to teach basic swimming and polo skills and to spend a significant amount of time playing the fun game of water polo with ‘adjusted’ rules to reflect age and ability of children. We call this the FUN factor. i.e. players can catch the ball with 2 hands: players can ride noodles or have a floating belt while playing: games are played in the shallow pool across the width: etc. Focus is on adaptation to the water, reduction and overcoming fear of water and teaching basic swimming and water polo skills
Water Polo age is determined by age as of August 1st , 2018.
A water polo year contains four sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. The Summer season is the final season of a water polo year, and ends with the USA Water Polo National Junior Olympic Championships.
